Fall Into New Seasons
Back to the old / new grind
Howdy friends. I’m writing you from my new fangled desk which is not too far from the desk I left in February. I’m glad to be back in the Hollywood set (read: office work).
As with new seasons, new jobs, I have a few new personal projects upcoming. I’ve started 2 new instagram accounts for these projects. For media sales/collection liquidation, you can follow cinephile_liquidations to see where I’ll be popping up around LA. As with this newsletter, the selection is varied and eclectic. For what I hope to make into a little film club you can follow oaterclub_la which I haven’t really started yet past the instagram account.
I started writing a new project last night, as I am wont to do. One of these days I’ll create a writing schedule to pop from project to project but this one is an epistolary, a format I’ve never written in, though I’ve certainly enjoyed many of them. One that will always stick in my brain is The Screwtape Letters.
Other projects I mean to get back to include a legal drama, a western heist, a black comedy thriller, and a 30s musical pastiche. Lots of things to write and so little drive to write them, so I plan to grab the wheel in the next few weeks.
Also in case you have any interest, I’ve recently acquired a hell of a lot of French, Italian, and German movie posters, mostly French. I’ll be selling them when I have my first event with cinephile_liquidations which will be Oct. 4, you can find details from that page.
Tomorrow, if you’re in LA, I’m hosting trivia at R Bar in Koreatown. Stop by if you can!
